Hello, Freebs! It's SUMMER TIME!
*cue happy dance*
I love this time to be outside, have some adventures, and spend time with my family! But, you guys may have heard once or twice (or maybe a thousand times), I have a BIG family! And like any large family that loves to be active, things can get CRAZY if I'm not on my game. That's why I've developed my best summer survival tips to help keep things running smoothly. And, because I love you all so much I am going to share them with you!
Why I Need A Game Plan For Summer Survival
As a working mom with 8 kids under the age of 12 (yes, you read that right), I live and die by the schedules and systems I've created. Having everyone home truly means that it is time to sink or swim, you know?
Since these precious summers with my kids at home are numbered, I want this time to be as meaningful and happy as possible. I feel like summer is a great time to:
- Relax and build relationships with each other
- Build new skills and strengthen old ones
- Try new things
- Explore the outdoors
- Strengthen friendships
- Set and achieve goals
In order for us to do these things, we need some structure and purpose to our days so that we don't just survive, but totally thrive this summer!
