Who’s ready to reign in that budget again?! We are heading into the holiday months, which means plenty of opportunities for spending. Join this month's budgeting challenge to get your money in order so the holidays are less stressful!
Well, Freebs, we are right there with you. We want to plan ahead of holiday chaos and help future-self experience a whole lot less stress around the holiday shopping and spending!
Now that it's October, it's time to whip our wallets into shape! Christmas is only 90 days away if you can believe it (*breathes into paper bag). For many of us, this can be the most expensive time of year. To keep us all on track, we're going to make a few sacrifices now so that we can celebrate guilt-free over the next few weeks.
*Note: When you click the links in this post, we may receive a commission at no extra cost to you.
We've created a calendar with a simple week-long finance challenge for each week that will help us save upwards of $500-$1000 (or more!) in a single month. The goal??? Save enough money to stash away a holiday fund, and have Christmas completely paid for before the holidays hit! Avoid putting extra spending on credit cards this holiday season, and save yourself some stress while you're at it. This is going to be epic.
Now, who is ready to SAVE BIG!? Sign up to join the free challenge and receive our weekly challenge emails and tips. We'll email you your FREE PRINTABLE CALENDAR. Then watch your holiday fund start to grow!
HOW IT WORKS:
Step 1. Sign up to join the free challenge. This will give you our weekly challenge emails, updates, tasks and tips right in your inbox every week in October!
Step 2. Print the (free) Back to Budgeting calendar that we will send to your inbox. Find a place to hang it where you will see it every day, like the fridge or your family command center!
Step 3. Follow along! Each week there is one main challenge for you to focus on all week. Plus we will be share weekly emails with those who sign up that contain a bonus challenge, tip, or helpful habit to keep you focused throughout the month. Then, of course, wrap up the week with a simple date or family night to help keep you focused on the people that matter most.
Step 4. The extra money that you save each week should go into a separate little fund. Watch your stash grow, and use that money towards holiday spending or another specific finance goal like paying off debt, or planning that dream vacation!
ARE YOU READY TO SAVE UP FOR THE HOLIDAYS?
Remember, the goal of this challenge is to really pay attention to what you are spending and finding areas to cut back. Making habits to reduce your subscriptions, grocery bills, impulse buys, and expensive outings can add up to hundreds or even thousands of dollars saved!
All of that extra money you'll be working to cut down can go into your holiday fund, making this the least stressful end-of-the-year EVER!
Presents, decorations, parties, outfits…..it can be quite an expensive time of year. Set yourself up for success by saving up the funds now, so you don't have to put anything on a credit card this year!
Once you sign up for the challenge, you'll automatically receive our weekly check-in emails with helpful tips and mini challenges all month long. You'll receive the free calendar printable, and maybe even a little surprise too 😉
