Brown Sugar Slow Cooker Ham

The easiest way to cook a ham that is bursting with flavor!

  • 2 cups brown sugar, packed
  • ½ cup water
  • 8 lb bone-in whole ham


  • Spread 1 ½ cups of brown sugar in the bottom of the slow cooker.
  • Add water.
  • Add ham. Rub remaining ½ cup brown sugar on top of the ham.
  • Cover and cook on low for 4-6 hours, or until ham has been cooked to an internal temperature of 140°F.
  • Remove from the slow cooker and allow to rest for a little bit before slicing.


Put any leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week. You can also freeze them and they'll taste just as good!
