What to do about Google Reader going away…YIKES!

Hello all you fabulous readers!
I know many of you have been following along (THANK YOU!) via Google Reader. Well, have you heard the news yet?
Google Reader is… GOING AWAY. Duhn, Duhn, DUUUUUUHHHHNNNN. It's true, read about Google Reader going away here.
If your life is anything like mine, you probably don't have time to sit around and check blogs all day to see if there is a new post. The easiest way to follow along this blog now?

Ever since having my baby boy 3 months ago I've had to scale back a bit on blogging (if you haven't noticed). Between my TV appearances, public speaking, conferences, Frugality Boot Camps, and every-day-life-as-a-mom-of-3-kids-under-4, I've had to prioritize my life and time much more lately. As much as I'd like to post every day, I just simply can't!
However, when I AM ABLE to post, I try to pour my heart and soul into it and make sure it's 100% valuable information to help you all become Financially Fit.  Thanks a billion for understanding.
The easiest way to follow along is via email. That way whenever I DO post, it goes straight to your inbox! It sits there, nice and neat, waiting patiently for you to open and read it – at YOUR convenience. Then, if you like the post, please spread the love and PIN it to Pinterest so you can refer back to it easily and share it with your friends!
Easy, eh?

There are two easy-peasy ways to follow via email:
1) Click on the envelope icon on the cute little yellow triangle on the banner at the top of the site (or click here to subscribe)
2) Put your email in the convenient little box above my photo on the right sidebar of my site.

There are some other fun ways to follow blogs. Some of my great readers enjoy BlogLovin (free app too which is a bonus!) as well as Feedly.

I want to genuinely thank you all for reading. I'm sure other bloggers say this, but I truly have the most amazing, engaged, loyal readers on the planet. The fact that you take time out of your day to read a little of what I have to say humbles me every day. I love sharing my deepest, most intimate thoughts with you all, and for the love I feel when you receive it. I know this site needs a lot of work and I am working hard to find more time to put into posting more, but know that I love and appreciate all of you! That being said, please always feel free to give me your feedback and ideas. I want to hear what YOU think, and what YOU need!

I love you all, and thanks for following along!

  1. A month or so ago I switched over to Bloglovin to keep up all the sites I love.. It's been great. There is also a free app, which I use. I hate getting tons of emails so this has works even better for me.

  2. Hi Jordan- I signed up for Feedly (www.feedly.com)” target=”_blank”> ” target=”_blank”>(www.feedly.com) as soon as I heard google reader was going away, and it works exactly the same as reader but with a different interface of course. It keeps all my favorite blogs organized- including yours! And just like Heather B mentions with Bloglovin (haven't tried- good to know there's more options though!) Feedly also has a free app so I can read on my phone on the go! Thanks!

  3. I am also using feedly since the announcement (even though I do often find myself back at gReader out of habit!). When I set it up I signed in with my google info and it took all my lists from google and put them in feedly so that part of the switch was easy. Anyone else sad about Google's SMS search going away too??? Why google? WHY?

  4. I just have all my favorites on my favorites bar at the top of my browser page! of course Fun Cheap or Free is on there! 😀
p.s. you are keeping up with blogging and the family amazing! i couldnt believe how soon u posted after the baby was born! 🙂

  5. I started using bloglovin' recently and LOVE it!! It's been so easy. I've even found more blogs to follow! (addict) lol

  6. To me, the site that seems the most similar to Google reader is called The Old Reader. http://theoldreader.com/
Even though it's in beta it was easy enough to transfer over the sites I want to follow. I don't really like change so I like the similarity to Google Reader.
