Meet the NEW FCF Team! started somewhat on accident. Wanting to make my family blog private, I started blogging about frugal ideas on a separate blog as a hobby in 2011. For the first 1.5 years I fought tooth and nail to keep it low-key and remain in the “hobby” zone. I quickly realized Freebs were everywhere and the world was in desperate need of someone to represent frugality and make it approachable, fun, and a topic of conversation. I decided to stop holding it back and let it flow and WAZAAM! Over the last 5 years, this blog has thrived and grown in ways I never expected; and that's all thanks to Y-O-U. The readers (Freebs) of this blog are what make it the amazing place that it is; and gosh are we happy to have you with us!

With baby #5 on the way and with me still being a stay-at-home mom that only gets to work during naptime and bedtime, I realize more and more that I can't do it all on my own! I'm tired of being the one holding this blog back. Freebs are begging for more content, classes, products, and fun…so by gosh that's what we are going to give you!

I wanted to take this Monday to introduce you to the team! Because Heaven knows I can't take credit for any of this on my own.  Some are new, some are veterans…and FCF wouldn't be what it is without any of them. There is a lot that happens behind the scenes around here, and a few good gals that make up the fabulous team we have! Enjoy getting to know us a little better, and again, thanks for coming, visiting, interacting, and being with us along the way. We are grateful to have you here. *group hug*

First up, yours truly…

Jordan, Creator

Hi! I'm Jordan Page, creator of this lil' ol blog here.  Many of you know me, but many of you are also new so I just wanted to take a quick second to introduce myself.  I don't want to take time away from the rest of the team so head on over to the “About Me” page to learn way more about me than you'd ever want to know! 😉

ALISHA BARTONAlisha, Operations Manager

Alisha (Uh-LISH-uh…not to be mistaken with uh-LEESH-uh) is our Operations Manager, and basically, she keeps everything behind the scenes running like a well-oiled machine! She has been working part-time behind the scenes of FCF since March 2014. She helps me manage everything from customer service, Bomb Shelter Baby orders fulfillment/assistance, Budget Boot Camp orders and service, to photography and site analytics. Meet, Alisha!

Alisha - Family

  • Coffee is my life (like seriously I am rarely seen without a cup in my hand)
  • I am obsessed with the color orange. (I even have an orange Keurig )
  • My Husband and will be celebrating our 10 year anniversary this year!!
  • We have a “fur baby” Sammy who is scared of the camera and lightening and fireworks and wind and the air conditioner and well lots of things. But she LOVES her frisbee. In fact she gets so excited she forgets about the camera and I can take her picture!
  • Yellowstone is my Disneyland. We go at least once a year. I want to eventually move to Gardner MT so I can visit the park year round.
  • I would rather go on a vacation in a National Park than go to a 5 star Hotel and be pampered.
  • My Husband and I would love to be camp hosts in our later life and travel around.
  • I love all things Luke Bryan!
  • My life is pretty boring (and I like it that way!).
  • I have been told that I am the nicest meanest person you will ever meet. I am known to be quite sarcastic.

Just wondering how you found them! I’m working my bum off managing my blog, website/etsy site, and a couple of other projects and I know I need to hire but I am just not sure where to find some good reliable help. There just aren’t enough hours in the day and mama needs to sleep!

I just put a call out on social media and had to weed through/interview tons of people to find the perfect fits! Just put your feelers out there and be super specific about the job position and what you are looking for. It will happen! Best of luck!

Hey Kendra, I’d love to help and possibly work from home of that’s what you need. I’ll do whatever you need me too.

I think you and the new team are simply awesome people!! Your site has made a huge impact on my lifestyle and as a mom of three and a growing family moving to a new home, everything helps me refocus and not fuss over things I don’t need. I’m always on a budget for home needs and your tips have helped me for our family’s needs while I also balance my small businesses on the side. Thanks a ton to you and your beautiful team of talented and dedicated women!

Hi Jordan – I stumbled upon your youtube posts on accident, and now I am addicted. I am a SAHM, that knows she need to bring in some income, and at the same time, lower our spending to income ratio. It is so simple, yet something that didn’t sink in till now that I saw your post about not living on everything you bring home. I am maxing out my husbands paycheck every two weeks and wonder why we don’t have anything for anything else. My beloved 16 year old car died recently, and by the grace of God alone, my husband got a raise right after, and we were able to get him a “new to us” car. However, I am now driving his 16 year old car, and worry about when that goes out for example, how we are going to replace it. As well as things like Christmas, extra activities, etc. I want to bring in some money, but don’t know where to start. The simplest thing would be retail, but I get anxious thinking about working at a store where people I know would be coming in and shopping. Silly I know. I am going to start the new year by budgeting 95% of his check and then make it a goal to lower it as we go from there. We have lots of “wants” and need a way to get there. Oh, and we live in Northern California…….I know….groan!

Do you have any suggestions on where to start looking for a job I could do from home?
