JULY CALENDAR & CHALLENGES
We're picking up right where we left off in June! Don't forget to plan at least one family night a week and one date night a week with your sweetheart! Here are some fun summer date night ideas to help you connect with the people that matter most.
SERVICE WEEK CONTINUED
If you remember, we ended June in the middle of service week. We're starting the month off with a mini challenge this week that's super easy… Go Serve someone.
See what you can do to pitch in on a neighbor's yard work. Maybe volunteer to mow someone's lawn when they head out of town. Help pull some weeds or complete a landscaping project. Or simply drop some treats by and let them know you're thinking of them. There are so many service projects you can do in your community!
WET & WILD WEEK
It is HOT out there! We get it. Make plans to beat the heat with some crazy good water fun. Jump in the lake, run through the sprinklers, or have a water fight!!! Whatever you choose to do, make sure you get wet… and splash everyone else, too!
LEARN A NEW SKILL
Time to bust the boredom. Re-evaluate and make a list of skills or talents that you and your family want to work on. Have the kids pull out some goal sheets and brainstorm what they want to improve on. Summer is a great time to learn an instrument, learn how to fish, improve flexibility and work on many other new skills!
GET PHYSICAL WEEK
We love a good lazy day as much as anyone, but this week is all about switching it up and making sure we don't waste away in the summer sun. Our challenge this week is to spend 15-30 minutes being active every day this week! This might be a hard one. We challenge you to push yourself because a little activity will beat the boredom blues! You can easily work out at home or make it into a fun active date night.
Ready for a good mini challenge? Look around… chances are your house could use a good tidy! Am I right? Well, we're about to tackle that. Turn up the music and dance while you clean the house. Don't forget to enlist some helpers to make the work go faster.
GET CREATIVE WEEK
Alright! We're getting close to the end of summer! It's your last week to really enjoy before everyone starts thinking about back to school and being responsible and stuff. Get creative this week and do something with your hands! From mud pies to cross-stitching. Choose a mini project to tackle during this week!
And there you have it! We really hope that all of these summer challenges on the July calendar have helped you to have the best. summer. ever. with your family! What was your favorite activity to do together? Let us know in the comments!
