HOW TO GET ENERGY FAST BY REDUCING STRESS
We cannot STRESS this enough—reducing stress is SO important!! (Ha! See what we did there?? ;)) But seriously, high levels of stress left unchecked can lead to fatigue, irritability and lack of motivation. Take steps right now to reduce your stress level by implementing these quick and easy habits.
- Take Deep Breaths – The first thing you need to do when you're stressed is stop and take a deep breath. Close your eyes and inhale through your nose while you count to four. Exhale through your mouth slowly and repeat until you are feeling calm!
- Plan Your Time – There is nothing more chaotic than having a bazillion things to do but no plan of action to get them done!! Planning out your weeks and days can do SO MUCH to relieve stress. Trust us… this REALLY works!
- Write Things Down – Take those thoughts and worries that are swimming about in your head and put them down on paper. It's like physically offloading your burdens—you'll be amazed how easy it is to let something go when you have written it down! Keeping a small journal handy at all times helps tremendously with this.

It may seem counterproductive, but trust us! The more you move, the more you want to move! It doesn't have to be intense. In fact, you can get a great workout right at home!
GET ENOUGH SLEEP

EAT A HEALTHY DIET
Feeding your body what it really needs is so important when it comes to maintaining healthy energy levels. Your body needs real, whole foods with vitamins and minerals to function optimally!
Ditch the fast food and the junk and focus on whole grains, protein, vegetables and fruit instead! Shoot to eat at least two things that grew straight from the earth at each meal… and no, strawberry pop tarts don't count, unfortunately!!
HOW TO GET MORE ENERGY BY AVOIDING SUGAR
Ahh, sugar… so loved yet so hated all at the same time. No matter how much that tasty staple calls our names (Yeah… it calls ours too!), we must say no!
Sugar, even in relatively small amounts, causes blood sugar to spike. This may feel good at first by giving you a quick burst of energy but it won't last long. After the high always comes the long, draining crash!
Avoid the crash by limiting or completely removing processed sugar from your diet. Instead, get your energy from real foods and complex carbs that won't cause your blood sugar to spike! Your energy levels will thank you!
DRINK MORE WATER
Drink more water!! We hear it allll the time. It is SO much easier said than done, though. Sometimes we get caught up in our daily lists and activities and before you know it… half the day is gone and we haven't drank much water!
Being dehydrated causes you to feel fatigued because your heart literally has to pump harder just to make your body function. Keep a large refillable bottle with you at all times and drink away! If you forget, set an alarm on your phone a few times a day to give you encouraging reminders.
HOW TO GET MORE ENERGY BY EATING CHOCOLATE
Okay, don't get too excited… this isn't the snickers bar you've been craving!! Sorry! Instead, try a piece of dark chocolate with no (or very little) added sugar. Chocolate contains caffeine and theobromine which both help to boost energy levels quick. It also contains flavonoids (an antioxidant!!) which have been shown to help fight fatigue as well!

STEP OUTSIDE TO BOOST ENERGY
