Freebs. It’s a thing.

Freebs. It's a thing.

Guys. Ladies. Peeps. Friends. Besties. Hey you.

For the last, oh, 3 years of my life, I have been tormented by the above titles. If you haven't noticed, I begin nearly every post calling out to YOU directly. If the post doesn't begin with “guys!”, it's only because I spent 5-10 minutes writing and rewriting and writing again the first line of the post to try to make any other intro sound normal and natural.

I pretend that I'm having a one-on-one conversation with YOU when I write each post, so it's only natural to be able to talk to YOU when writing.

Not knowing what to call YOU drives me bonkers! Call me crazy, but I think nicknames are important. When you have a “name”, “nickname”, or “inside joke” amongst a group of people, it automatically solidifies a community of sorts. Lady Gaga has her Monsters. Justin Bieber has his “Beliebers”. The list goes on and on! Since we're a sisterhood (with scattered bromies, who deserve a slow clap and a cookie for bravery) I put a call out on Instagram for help coming up with a name for you. we. us collectively. Let me tell you…

I haven't laughed so hard in a long time!

You guys are SO STINKING CREATIVE (and hilarious). Thank you for the cheap entertainment, and for the interest in humoring my crazy antics.

I thought it was time to finally announce the name that pierced my soul and sang to my heart. It's one that I feel like describes us in a funny way, shows my endearing, undying love for you, while still allowing room for creative “spins” on the name.

Guys…we are now FREEBS.

I really liked Freeps (like peeps), that's the first one that jumped out at me. But Bubba said it sounded like I was calling everyone creeps, so Freebs it is. I can't wait to come up with all sorts of clever one-off nicknames for Freebs. So there you go. Love it, hate it, it is what it is…just want you to know it's a “thing” now so work it like it's your day job.

Love you FREEBS!

I just saw you on Dr. Phil. You are amazing and beautiful too! You seem like a super mom who has it all together. I’m sure we could all learn some tricks from you. Thank you for what you are doing to try to help us all save money.

Hi – I’m curious if you’ve done any videos or have content on how to save on household products like shampoo, soap, body wash, lotion, toothpaste, etc. I feel like I’m wasting money going to target and buying things when we run out and I wonder if there’s a better strategy. Thanks!
