I was challenged to make a DIY Snack Stadium Tutorial using SNICKERS®, Skittles®, Pepsi™, and TOSTITOS®. Though I am NOT crafty and can't even attempt complicated projects, I promise this Snack Stadium is an easy, fun, and obviously delicious way to display your favorite treats and snacks for the BIG GAME. It is so easy, your family can join in the DIY process! Definitely a great way to share your #GameDayGlory.
Here's how I made the Snack Stadium:
WHAT YOU NEED:
I purchased my products at Walmart, of course, and here's what I got:
- SNICKERS® FUN SIZE® Variety 35 oz.
- SNICKERS® Minis 40oz
- Skittles® XL 41 oz
- Diet Pepsi™ 12 oz. 12 pack
- TOSTITOS® Scoops Party Size
- TOSTITOS® Medium Chunky Salsa
- Hot glue gun + glue
- Disposable baking pan (9×13, I chose an extra deep pan)
Bubba is aSNICKERS® freak! He's obsessed. And I grew up in a hard-coreDiet Pepsi™ household. I would have been disowned if I had used any other kind of soda. Pop. Soda pop. Whatever you call it. All of the products, full-price, totaled about $35. If you price-match the best deals, you'll get them for an even better steal!
HOW TO MAKE THE SNACK STADIUM:
First, I dumped out the loot to draw some inspiration from it.
(And by inspiration I mean taste everything and kill time.)
DING DING DING! Inspiration hit. Chocolate can do that, you know.
I dug through my recycling and found a small cardboard box to cut up to serve as my bleachers.
I cut off two ends of the box, measured them in my pan, and secured it in place with hot glue.
Ta-da! Bleachers. Er, sorta.
Next, take your candy of choice and put a tiny dab of hot glue on the wrapper. These are your “bleacher people”.
Stick the people on the bleachers, in a tiered fashion. I sound fancy when I say fashion, don't I?
I decided to not glue the top row, because they stood up just fine on their own. Not that it matters, the candy pulls off SUPER easily, even when hot glued. And no, the glue doesn't melt the chocolate either. (Not that I had to eat several of them to test this…)
I decided to pit the “brown team” against the “yellow team”. Who's team would you be on? Peanut butter? Or peanuts?
Once my fan section was secured, I took the almond SNICKERS® and glued them to each end of the pan in the shape of the goal posts. I was surprised at how little glue it took to get them to stick securely!
It was looking awesome, but needed some turf. I dumped out the beloved Skittles®,
and picked out all the green ones. BOOM! Turf.
Because you can never have too many SNICKERS®, I glued the mini's around the top edges of the pan for a finished look and some pizzazz. ...but mostly just to add more chocolate.
It wasn't looking quite right, so I added some lines on the turf with purple Skittles®. Aaaaah, much better.
For the final touch I put my 9×13 pan inside an even larger baking pan I had lying around.
I filled that sucker to the brim with TOSTITOS® Scoops, Bubba's favorite, with the TOSTITOS® Salsa close at hand for dipping.
I stacked the Diet Pepsi™ in various formations, around the stadium, on either side of the stadium, and finally settled on my favorite…a tower in the back. It just screams Diet Pepsi™ glory, doesn't it?
So there you have it! It takes less than 20 minutes to make and is SO FUN to eat. My family went nuts over it! It's perfect for the BIG GAME, and will definitely be the talk of the party!
