EASIEST EVER Sunday Roast Recipe! | Slow Cooker Roast

This is our easiest dinner EVER! Perfect for Sundays. All you need for this simple roast recipe is a few simple indgredients

Lately, one of my most common requests is for posts/videos about our favorite quick and easy meals. I'm certainly no Rachael Ray but I do believe in cooking for your family (whether you dread it like I do or not…) and believe you can eat GOOD food, on a budget, without spending hours preparing it!

First up in my new attempt to share Page Family Favorites is our favorite Sunday dinner…slow cooker pot roast. This is our easiest dinner EVER! Perfect for Sundays, and great for summer because it doesn't require an oven (that makes your house a personal, unwanted sauna). All you need for this simple roast recipe is a few simple ingredients:

  • Beef roast – any size, any kind, and mine is usually frozen. You're going to hate me because I don't measure, I just eyeball. Sorry in advance!
  • Onions
  • Potatoes
  • Carrots
  • Onion Soup Mix
  • Water

Super simple! I like to take the leftover liquid and reduce it down (using a roux as a base) to make gravy. Flavor it with beef bouillon if there isn't enough flavor.

  1. I love to make pot roast too! My favorite way to make it is to put Lipton onion soup mix and a packet of ranch dressing mix in a measuring cup, then add water and stir it all together. Pour that over the roast, then add a stick of butter and about 5-9 whole peperoncini peppers to it. Cook it all day, then remove the peppers before you serve it. Yum!!

  2. Pork roast in the crockpot, pour over a can of mushroom soup, could use homemade substitute. Cover, cook low all day. Serve over mashed potatoes or rice, add favorite veggies.

  3. You should try adding about a fourth of a cup or aonof balsamic vinegar. It makes the beef more tender and gives it THE best flavor. I’m not even joking. Every person that has ever tried it has loved it and asked for the recipe. It is the exact same as yours but with the balsamic 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼
