It's no secret that I love Swig (a cute soda and cookie shop in Utah and Arizona that I hope will dominate the world someday with their deliciousness). My weakness is their (diet) Raspberry Dream, my favorite drink of all time. Picture this: diet Doctor Pepper…coconut cream…raspberry puree…oh. my. heavens. Basically dessert in a cup.

*wipes drool from mouth*

Good news! I know Swig isn't everywhere, so I came up with my own version of the Diet Raspberry Dream so those of you who are out of town can use the recipe to tide you over until you get in contact with the REAL DEAL someday (soon, hopefully)!

It took a little trial and error, but I've made it enough now that it's perfect! Enough with the chatter, let's get on to the drink!

A Raspberry Dream is pretty straightforward! You can play around with the amounts of the ingredients until you find your preferred taste.

  • Dr. PepperUse a can or pour it from a 2 liter bottle!
  • Coconut Cream – You can usually find this in the drink aisle of your local grocery store.
  • Raspberry Syrup – I prefer Toriani, but your grocery store should have a variety of brands for you to choose from.
  • Crushed Raspberries – I prefer to use frozen raspberries, but you can also use freeze dried!

I found these cute straws in the Walmart party section for cheap! They made for a cute addition, and a great way to stir it up while you're sipping!

Using frozen raspberries is key, and when they break up it makes the perfect tidbit to suck through a straw.

Well folks, that's how I do it!

Again, there is just nothing like the real deal from Swig, but the homemade version is pretty darn good if I do say so myself. And so much cheaper! The cookies though?? I still have yet to find a recipe that even comes close.

There are a lot of grocery stores that sell Coffeemate Coconut Creme creamer. This is what Swig uses as their coconut cream. Also, the raspberry puree from Swig is a Torani Fruit Puree – I haven’t been able to find it locally, but you can find it on Amazon. Then you can have a 100% Raspberry Dream the way Swig makes it.

I’m going to have to try this coconut cream! I love all things coconut! I use the peach Torani syrup to make my own Italian sodas sometimes and they are soooo good. It’s a fun “girls night” drink.
