Q&A: What are your kids’ favorite toys?

Kids favorite toys
Freebs! Guess where I am right now? That's right, DISNEYLAND. It's our first time going as a family, and BOY, do I have lots of money-saving tips for you! Be sure to keep tabs on me on Instagram, I'll be sharing tips throughout the week.

To keep you all from missing me desperately, I spent (way too much time) chopping up my latest Live Q&A into individual videos for you, so you don't have to watch the entire hour-long Q&A session to get the goods! (Though, you see lots of random side tangents and randomness in the full session if you're into that kind of thing.)

Here is one cut-down video for you! The question was:

“What are your kids' favorite toys?”

Although my kids' aren't huge toy fans there are a few that they are into at the moment.

  1. First off, you are awesome, and so is your blog! Hope you guys are having fun in Disneyland.
Anyways, I’ll never forget something my aunt told me when I started having kids. When her two daughters were little, she wishes that she hadn’t bought them so many toys and instead saved that money for fun experiences or for college. That really resonated with me and I have limited how many toys I’ve bought for my 2 kids. Instead, we try and get out into nature, our community, and do other fun activities. We also go over to other kids’ houses all of the time who have tons of toys. My kids love to play with them there, but never ask for them at our house. I think it makes going to others’ houses more fun. And like you said, my kids prefer to play with “non-toys” anyways.
By the way, we bought a mini trampoline for our 4.5 yr old daughter too for Christmas. But we bought an adult one from Walmart for about $40. It holds up to 250lbs so even my husband and I can jump on it. It’s perfect and still going strong. It doesn’t have a handle bar and it’s just a simple black one, but my daughter jumps on it for about 45-60 minutes a day throughout the day. Which is great during the winter when we can’t get outside.
    Love, love, love your blog!!

    • Oh my gosh, thank you so much for your words and TIPS!!! Can’t thank you enough for reading and sharing…and enjoy that trampoline!!! 🙂
