Focus on Change month: 30 days of positive change challenge

With Spring in the air and Summer around the corner, it seems like everything is turning a new leaf this time of year. As we all probably know all too well, embracing change can be hard (as I rant about HERE). To help us stay Focused in '14 this year, I have decided to make May our Focus on Change month! It will be a month to embrace change, try new things, dust off the old routine and shake things up a little.

Instead of a formal calendar, I am…well…changing things up a bit this month (naturally)! Instead of a calendar, I have made a printable list of 30 things you can do to create positive change in your life this month (printable link below). Yes, you get one day off 😉 I really hope you all participate in this 30 days of change challenge. Some of them are simple; doing your hair a new way. Some might be very difficult; moving on from something in your past. But try your hardest to focus on accomplishing one item each day, and I think we will all come out of May feeling refreshed, rejuvenated, and feeling positive toward CHANGE in our lives!

My advice? Make each change intentional.

At the end of the day try to avoid the, “oh shoot, I didn't look at the list today. Hmm…I spread the butter on my toast differently today…yeah! That counts as change for the day!” Rather, look at the list each day when you wake up, choose something you want to work on, and make it a focus for the day. The point is to help us all branch out, grow, and shake off the cobwebs that tend to build up in our lives.

…and to do it with intention and enthusiasm.

Of all the months so far with the Focused on '14 challenges, I think I'm most excited about this one…and I hope you are too!   1. I really like this challenge. I am pushing myself out of my comfort zone this month and signed up for swim lessons. Today was my first day and I was so nervous but I did it and felt really good about myself. This was long overdue. I’m conquering my fear one step at a time. Thank you for this challenge and encouragement! I love your posts!
