EXCITING new feature…LIVE Q&A with Jordan!

I have an EXCITING announcement! As I mentioned eaerlier today, we are working on a number of fun new projects. One of which?…
LIVE Q&A With Jordan! (yours truly)
I get HUNDREDS of emails each week, many of which are wonderful, heartfelt, valuable questions by y'all. As much as I would like to, it's just physically impossible for me to reply to all of them.
SO…
I'm going to do something about that! Here's how it will work:
  • Join me LIVE next Monday, July 15, 8:00pm MST (7PST, 9CST, 10EST) via Google+ Hangout.
  • Yes, I will be in my house. So yes, you will probably hear dogs and kids in the background. No, I might not be wearing makeup…. 😀
  • I won't be able to see or hear anyone, it's as if you're watching me on TV (weird…)…BUT the cool part is that I will see your questions and answer them LIVE via Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
  • We will have more details on how to join as it gets closer next week, but the way it works is that it's powered through Youtube. So you can join/watch on any device that you can watch YouTube on…even your phone!
  • We will spend 1 hour answering as many questions as possible! Since no one can see or hear you, feel free to be doing your dishes, folding your laundry, working out, or doing whatever you'd like during the Q&A!
  • Your questions can be about absolutely ANYTHING. From my house, to my clothes, kids, makeup, favorite color, how much I paid for something, how I do something, why the sky is blue, ANYTHING. (…so long as it's PG-Rated :)….)UPDATE: To join the session, keep watching my FacebookTwitter, and Instagram accounts, as well as this blog. At 8pm sharp I'll post the link to the session. You simply click on it, and watch away! So easy.

To submit your questions…
  • Leave a comment on this post with your question. Start your comment with “#FCFliveQandA” so we know it's a question that you'd like answered live if possible.
  • Post your questions to our Facebook wall and use the hashtag #FCFliveQandA
  • Tweet your question to @funcheaporfree and use the hashtag #FCFliveQandA
  • Post your question along with a photo to Instagram to @jordanpage_funcheaporfree and use the hashtag #FCFliveQandA
  • You can submit questions before Monday, and/or during the live Q&A! Questions will be chosen at random.
HOLY MOLY this is going to be fun…
Aren't you excited to hang out with this spaz for an hour?…
So mark it in your calendars, and join me for a fun Q&A extravaganza!
Are YOU going to be there? Leave a comment saying so, and feel free to leave your question(s) in the comments as well!

  1. FCFliveQandA First of all I want to thank you for all you do on your site. I know it is a lot of work. Even though I am somewhat of a new reader here your site has inspired me with fresh ideas. I have been trying to follow your budget envelope system for several months with no success.

Here is my question… How do I stay within the $500 or even $600 budget with a hard working husband, 3 teenage boys and 2 dogs? I know that I could easily keep it under budget if we were eating just anything, but our family feels there is a real importance to eat healthy. Mostly, I shop at Trader Joe's, Costco, Farmers markets, and sometimes Whole (paycheck) Foods. I have tried to cut corners everywhere possible… we don't use a lot of paper products and I make most things from scratch like bread and other baked goods. Also, every three months I order wheat and a few other supplies from Bread Beckers, so how would I go about budgeting that in with the envelope system? I would love any advice you may have. Thanks for doing this.

  2. FCFliveQ&A

Just a quick question about the envelope system. Ok 3 questions. 🙂 How long do you keep the receipts together in the envelopes? What do you do with them when you do take them out? There are some receipts it would make sense to keep (for warranties or returns) but others that wouldn't be necessary (perhaps gas, groceries and restaurants) to keep long term. How do you keep that organized and easy to find?

Thanks for doing this! I hope you plan to record it also.

    P.S. you are fabulous!

  3. FCFLiveQ&A Grateful for your words of wisdom. When you are doing your monthly budget, do you ever get to the end of your money before you've gotten through all of your expenses? What do you do or what would you recommend to someone who has that situation every once in a while?

  4. FCFLiveQ&A – How do ou budget in unexpected house repair (or car) costs? We just purchased our first home and have "some" saved up, but were hit from our home owners insurance saying we need to pour a new drive way, get a new roof on house and shed, and repaint shed and front door. that's going to take away ALL of our savings! Just wondering how you budget in that, and how much, how often etc. And any advice for a newbie starting this frugality process (esp as a newly wed) ??

  5. FCFLiveQ&A – One more Q: What do you suggest we do if our local Walmart does not do price matching unless we have a physical ad from all the other stores with us?? You have to understand, living in South Jersey = rude people who are only there for a paycheck. They (including MANAGERS) couldn't care less!! Whenever I try, they just say they can't do it. And I'm not being "that" person who price matches a ton of stuff and takes a half hour trying to flip through other ads to prove myself. (ugh!). And there's no going to a different Walmart, because they're all the same around here. Plus my local walmart doesn't sell produce and all, only the super Walmart does which is kinda far. But they're both the same. Any ideas??
