Welcome back to “You're Welcome” Wednesday, where I share a savings tip with you that's bound to make you say…THANKS!
If you are anything like me, you have lots of random ribbon laying around. I save ribbon off of gifts, I stock up on ribbon when it's on sale, and I got a surplus of it lately from the bow-making stations I did at the baby showers I threw.
I saw an idea like this on Pinterest and thought I'd give it a try! Here's what I did:
I reused a bin that I already had lying around (though you can buy them for cheap…start at the Dollar Store!), and jimmy-rigged some skewers to fit through the ribbon.
Stronger wooden dowels would be MUCH MUCH better, but I don't have any on-hand at the moment. I used packing tape and stacked two skewers together to make them stronger.
Once again, not the best, but a good temporary solution.
Just feed it through your ribbon and there you go! They spin easily, you can see exactly what you have, and it keeps it all organized and clean.
Doesn't that feel nice? The best part? Didn't cost me a dime! WOO HOO! Give it a try 🙂
